Stingray Charlie Catches Black Drum

We squeaked a few hours of fishing in a narrow weather break and before heavy gusts of 25 to 30 mile an hour winds came our way. With dense fog this morning we decided to go to plan B and stay close. We managed to carve out some quality fishing time on the upper laguna madre. Elder Charlie Cook Pulled in this nice 22inch, 10 lb Black Drum along the ICW near the power lines using live shrimp from Clems Marina.

It was great to catch a nice speckled trout this morning before having to return home for weather cover. Staying close paid off this morning and just a hop, skip, and a jump home.
